🚨 New P2P Crypto Scam Alert! 🚨
Stay Informed. Stay Safe.
Scammers are now targeting P2P crypto sellers with a new trick. Here’s how the scam works:
You List Crypto for Sale on P2P:
You post USDT (or other crypto) for sale on platforms like Binance P2P.
Scammer Contacts You on WhatsApp:
They ask for your WhatsApp number and then message you, claiming they need "proof" that your crypto isn’t flash or shadow (fake/frozen coins).
They Pretend to Help You Verify:
They send you a QR code or wallet address and ask you to send a small amount (like 1 USDT) for verification.
The Trap:
That QR code is actually linked to a wallet with a preloaded request for your full selling amount (e.g., 100, 500, or 1000 USDT). Once you scan it and approve the "1 USDT," your full balance is sent. You lose everything instantly.
Fake WhatsApp Numbers & Rented Accounts:
Scammers often use fake or stolen WhatsApp numbers and rent Binance accounts from innocent users, luring them with promises like "$500/day" to “lease” their accounts. These accounts are then used in fraudulent transactions, putting the real owners at serious legal risk.
🚫 Protect Yourself – Key Reminders:
Never trade or communicate outside of the P2P platform.
Never send crypto to verify anything—especially not via QR code or wallet address.
Always check order history and reputation of the buyer.
Report any suspicious behavior immediately.
✅ Your safety comes first. Stay alert, trade smart, and don’t fall for social engineering tricks.
