$BTC Seed Phrase Honeypot Scam Uncovered 👛
This trap preys on those who think they've stumbled upon a lucky break — but it ends in getting drained.
😮 It all begins with a “leaked” seed phrase posted in a Telegram group or tweet. You spot a screenshot showing a wallet backup phrase and a tempting token balance worth thousands. Looks like someone accidentally exposed their wallet, right? Some people rush to “recover” the funds.
😊 They import the wallet into MetaMask, see the tokens, and try to transfer them out. But the transaction fails — there’s no ETH for gas fees.
So they send a few bucks’ worth of ETH to get things moving. That’s when the trap is sprung.
A bot is watching that wallet non-stop. As soon as gas hits, it front-runs the transaction and empties the wallet instantly 🤖
Here’s the trick: the scammer owns the wallet. The token balance is bait — often fake, enhanced with smart contracts or worthless LP tokens made to look valuable. It’s all a setup for those chasing “free” money.
🚫 Don’t fall for exposed seed phrases. If a wallet “accidentally” leaked with thousands in it, why hasn’t it been emptied already? Simple — it’s a scam, and you’re the target.
