When the mirror shatters, the outside world disappears.
You can't see it anymore, right? You can't hear it anymore, right? Then have you disappeared? No, you haven't. So obviously, they are not you. Since there is no you outside, then your inner self must be you, right? Your emotions, your thoughts, this is introspection. So is what you observe really you?
You often hear others say that the you in others' eyes, the myriad of things in your eyes, is the real you. Right? But it still doesn't seem like you. To be precise, that is the you filled with karmic habits. This you, the information and energy your eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind receive have all been filtered by this long-term indoctrinated brain, which has a filter for everything, including yourself. What tables, chairs, cars, and houses, we call it the small self, but it is just a part of you. So where is the real you? Why do I always say it is everywhere? Because the real you is just which side of the mirror. One side of the mirror is your entity, the other side is your virtual image, one side is everything, and the other side is your small self. Your only function is to reflect. All imaging is just an illusion.
