I never imagined I would write this, but I woke up today to a horrific reality - I lost my entire $1600 investment while I was asleep. It was my worst step yet: I had placed several low-limit orders on different currencies, and I decided to take a break, confident in the system. When I woke up, everything had disappeared. Just like that.
The really painful part is that this wasn't just my account - I was trading on behalf of my brother, hoping to surprise him with a profit on his birthday. I truly believed I could achieve that. But instead, I ended up losing everything.
It's a harsh reminder of how deep the world of cryptocurrencies is, and its volatility and cruelty. I try to keep myself busy so it doesn't consume me entirely, but yes - it hurts. It really hurts.
To everyone riding the cryptocurrency wave: be vigilant, manage your risks, and don't underestimate how quickly things can turn. Sometimes, the best step is to stop and think.
