ETH's strategic upgrade this time finally shows some hope. In the past, it was always about technical upgrades, but it remained aloof, unable to take root, causing the ecosystem to lag (relative to SOL). It failed to keep up with the core narratives of this cycle, such as AI, MEME, etc.
This time, I see the Ethereum Foundation's comprehensive upgrade to ecosystem development has released a clear signal: Ethereum is not waiting for the next bull market, but is making long-term arrangements for mainstream implementation.
I previously thought ETH was only about technical protocols, issuing EIPs, and developing L2 solutions. I was wrong. Currently, Ethereum is gradually transitioning from "technology-driven" to "scenario-driven + ecosystem-driven" after continuous validation and transformation.
This time, the actions of EF can be broken down into four key points (see the original text). I will discuss a few that impressed me:
✅ First, they want to get more people to "use" Ethereum.
Not just developers, but also businesses, entrepreneurs, app teams, and even governments are becoming new users of Ethereum. This is why EF has specifically established teams like "Enterprise Relations" and "Founder Success"—things that were previously ignored are now being addressed.
Understanding this point is very important: it's not about "creating for insiders to play with", but about making Ethereum "a public facility that anyone can access".
✅ Second, content, community, and policy have also become key focuses.
They upgraded the original Ethereum.org team to a "Digital Studio", specifically responsible for narratives, videos, and education. What does this indicate? ETH is not just technology; it is starting to tell stories.
At the same time, the Ethereum Everywhere team is interesting, with the goal of having someone promote Ethereum in every country and region, similar to local "community nodes". This will allow ETH to truly go global, rather than just being a geek toy in North America/Europe.
✅ Third, they haven't forgotten about policy and universities.
The Academic + Policy Secretariat continues to engage with universities and governments to resolve the obstacles for the next decade, such as data regulation, legality, and research support. This is not short-term speculation; it is hardcore "foundation building".
In summary, this upgrade has finally given me some hope for ETH. Because it is not just a technical upgrade, but a "strategic upgrade for Ethereum".
