The IBIT fund now holds over 700,000 Bitcoins, which is approximately more than 3.33% of the total Bitcoin supply. According to Bloomberg, the IBIT fund generates higher annual fee revenue than BlackRock's S&P 500 ETF (IVV). Despite being launched only 18 months ago, this fund, valued at $75 billion, is generating annual revenue estimated at $187.2 million, surpassing the IVV fund's revenue of $187.1 million. In 2021, El Salvador became the first country to invest in Bitcoin and now holds over 6,232 Bitcoins in its treasury. After Bitcoin reached its all-time high today, El Salvador's Bitcoin reserves amounted to $400 million in unrealized gains after years of steady accumulation. On November 16, 2022, El Salvador's President, Nayib Bukele, announced that the country would start buying one Bitcoin per day, "until the price of Bitcoin becomes exorbitant in fiat currencies".
