The Return of the Trade War
The administration of Donald Trump has once again adopted an aggressive stance towards international trade. Recently, Trump announced that, starting from August 1, 2025, the United States will impose tariffs of at least 25% on imports from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, among others. In some cases, the tariffs reach up to 40%. The measure aims to pressure these countries to negotiate trade agreements more favorable to the U.S. The announcement generated a strong reaction in the financial markets and reignited debates about the impacts of trade wars on the global economy. #TrumpTariffs
