Amid a quiet altcoin market, airdrops remain a popular way to diversify investment portfolios. This is an opportunity to access potential projects without initial capital or with very little.
As the second week of July begins, several projects have announced updates related to airdrops. Below is a list of noteworthy names with strong financial backing that you should consider participating in airdrops this week.
Backpack
The blockchain service project Backpack is the first airdrop opportunity to be highlighted this week. The project has raised up to $37 million, with major investors such as Delphi Ventures and Multicoin Capital.
Series B funding round led by Jump Crypto, with participation from Robot Ventures, Amber Group, and Wintermute.
On July 3, Backpack announced the launch of season 2 of the point farming campaign, encouraging users to continue trading on the exchange to increase trading volume. In return, participants will receive airdrops from the project.
This point farming season will last until September 11, and the promotional campaign from Backpack Exchange will give free tokens to users based on trading activity.
The project is built on the Solana network. To participate, users need to register an account on the exchange, complete identity verification (KYC), and trade assets (except USDT/USDC pairs) to earn rewards based on trading volume.
The higher the trading volume, the greater the potential rewards – including the native token of Backpack or ecosystem tokens such as Mad Lads NFTs.
Citing internal channels, Mad Jack – an airdrop farmer – stated that Backpack tokens will be distributed as rewards for activities on the exchange such as user referrals, creating trading volume, holding positions, and other criteria.
"The reward range is very wide, but I believe we are talking about an airdrop with a value of nine figures or more," Jack commented.
Notably, data on Cryptorank.io confirms that Backpack's airdrop farming campaign is active and will last until September 11.
D3
Another noteworthy airdrop event is D3 – a blockchain service project that has successfully raised $30 million. Although it is still in a "potential airdrop" state, the project has strong backing from major investors, including Paradigm – the leading entity in the Series A funding round. Other notable names participating include Coinbase Ventures and Sandeep Nailwal.
A portion of this funding comes from the $25 million raised last January. The project is currently rewarding users for creating domains on 4 networks: ApeChain, Core, Shiba, and Viction.
Notably, airdrop farmers will need to pay a small fee to participate in this activity. However, this helps them become early users and thus have the opportunity to receive airdrops in the future from the project.
The funding is used to develop infrastructure supporting the registration and trading of website domain names using blockchain technology.
In addition to creating domains – which currently has no deadline, D3 is also implementing some other programs such as the Nods role (launched on July 2) and the Doma testnet (starting from June 24).
To hunt for potential airdrops from D3, you need to visit the D3 website, connect a compatible wallet, verify your email address, create a domain, with a cost of about $10 on the ApeChain, Core, Shiba, or Viction networks.
Camp Network
Camp Network is also on the list of the top 3 noteworthy crypto airdrops in the second week of July. This chain just announced the launch of Phase 2 of the incentivized testnet a few days ago, along with a series of new tasks added.
In a series of posts, Camp Network shared that Phase 2 will bring a wave of pioneering builders in fields such as on-chain IP, gaming, social networks, DeFi, and more.
Additionally, the project aims to recreate famous IP brands, experiment with co-creation, and explore new limits in collaborative building between fans, creators, and AI. Meanwhile, Phase 3 of Camp Network has been planned for implementation next.
Unlike D3 and Backpack, Camp Network rewards users for interacting with this layer-1 blockchain specifically managing intellectual property (IP) using AI.
To participate, users need to access the Camp Network testnet, connect a compatible EVM wallet, complete tasks such as interacting on social media, daily check-ins, and minting limited NFTs.
When participating, users will receive "Acorns" and "Matchsticks" points, which can be converted into CAMP tokens after the token generation event (TGE) occurs.
Camp Network has raised up to $29 million, with Blockchain Capital leading the first funding round. The second round included participation from 1kx, Maven 11 Capital, and OKX Ventures.
However, airdrop farmers should do their own thorough research and follow the project's official channels to get accurate and timely information.
