Elon Musk announced on July 5–6, 2025, the establishment of a new party called "America Party" via platform X, following a public dispute with former President Donald Trump over the massive financial bill ("Big Beautiful Bill"). Musk conducted a poll on Independence Day (July 4) that involved ~1.2 million users, where more than 65% voted in favor of establishing a new party.

The party's goals focus on:

Financial reform and reducing the government deficit

Reducing regulations

Supporting the integration of artificial intelligence and robotics in the military

Encouraging procreation as part of the natalist agenda

So far, the party remains "proposed" and its paperwork has not yet been officially registered with the Federal Election Commission, but Musk announced that he is in the process of registering it and aims to win some influential seats in the Senate (2–3) and the House of Representatives (8–10) to secure the ability to pass laws.

Reactions have been varied:

Conservative Scott Bissent urged Musk to focus on his companies instead of politics

Some Republicans fear that a third party could weaken their chances in the 2026 elections.
