What will happen to Tether after the passage of the GENIUS Act?

The US Senate has approved the GENIUS Act, the first comprehensive law on stablecoins. Now, the issuance of digital dollars is allowed only for companies that meet strict requirements: 100% reserves in cash and treasury securities, external auditing, transparency, and accountability. GENIUS transforms stablecoins from chaotic "knee-jerk coding" into a strictly licensed instrument. And the main question now is: what will happen to the market leader Tether?

Where is the money invested? 🔍

Most of the assets are placed in the most reliable instruments:

– $120 billion: in US treasury securities;

– $7.3 billion: in Bitcoin (82,454 BTC);

– $6.6 billion: in physical gold;

– The rest – liquid deposits and short-term instruments.

🃏 What about auditing and transparency?

A full report on assets and liabilities is published every quarter. It is conducted by BDO Italia, an independent international auditing company. The reports record all classes of assets, sources of income, and current liabilities. It is also interesting to see how $RUBx from (RT-Pay) by Fade Wallet and Rostec will perform in this context.
