The House passed the Republican budget reconciliation bill by a vote of 218 to 214 (this is not Trump's big beautiful plan, but rather a core part of the big beautiful plan).

Republican lawmakers Fitzpatrick and Massie voted against it along with all Democrats.

The tax bill has now been sent to President Trump for signing, and the White House plans to hold a signing ceremony on July 4.
