US-China deal confirmed. How will it impact Bitcoin?
Officials from both countries confirmed that the negotiations were successful.
Tariffs between the two powers were a burden that held back investors.
Now, Bitcoin has clearer ground to seek new highs.
The United States and China have reached a trade agreement that ends the long-running dispute over tariffs, a hurdle that has held back investors.
The pact codifies the terms negotiated between Beijing and Washington, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed to Bloomberg.
"They will deliver rare earths to us," Lutnick said, adding that once this commitment is fulfilled, the United States will eliminate its tariff countermeasures.
The agreement, forged after intensive talks in London on June 9-10, stipulates that China will export rare earths, while the United States will lift previously imposed trade restrictions.
From Beijing, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce ratified the signing and indicated that it will review export applications for controlled items in accordance with the law, a key step toward dismantling trade barriers. However, the success of the agreement depends on the future actions of both nations.
This development comes at a time when the "tariff war," driven by US President Donald Trump, had generated turbulence in the financial markets, as CriptoNoticias has reported throughout the year.
The trade detente, coupled with the recent cessation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, creates a favorable environment for assets such as Bitcoin, which is currently trading at $106,700.
In this scenario, Bitcoin emerges with a clearer path to new highs. On-chain data from Bitcoin Vector shows that the currency's liquidity registered its first significant expansion in June after hitting a three-year low.
Although Bitcoin remains below its all-time high of $111,000, the firm highlights a "constructive shift" in the market. "Capital is cautiously returning, laying the groundwork for the next stage," they note, suggesting the currency could consolidate a sustained upward trend.
