Liao Min Meets Harvard University Professor Allison
On June 27, Deputy Minister of Finance Liao Min met with Harvard University Professor Allison in Beijing to engage in in-depth exchanges on China-U.S. relations, China-U.S. economic and trade relations, and current regional hotspot issues. Liao Min stated that the economic and trade teams of both sides reached the Geneva Consensus and London Framework, which play an important role in stabilizing China-U.S. relations and China-U.S. economic and trade relations. China will firmly safeguard its legitimate rights and interests and is also willing to maintain economic and trade exchanges with the U.S. on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit, to benefit both countries and the world. Allison stated that the U.S.-China relationship is one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world, and it is significant for both sides to maintain and deepen communication. China has made remarkable achievements in promoting economic transformation, further expanding openness, and maintaining a fair market environment. The U.S. and China are highly interdependent economically, and deepening economic and trade exchanges is in the interest of both countries and the world.
