Oh God, when the land is vast yet becomes narrow, and the path of redemption is cut off, may You become an unyielding pillar and an indestructible beam for the people of Gaza. When the sound of shells is deafening, may You uplift them with a voice of compassion. When the power is cut off, may You illuminate their hearts with a light of patience. If doors close before them, may You open a door for them from the most unexpected places. If suffering descends upon them, may You make their steps steady and their spirits resolute.
We Gazans have a heart that walks the earth, so may You not let them see any harm, nor let them taste the pain of loss. May You protect them with Your shelter, O Most Compassionate and Merciful One.
