Believing that intelligence has been leaked, the Trump administration will restrict sharing classified information with Congress

On June 26, the Trump administration will limit the sharing of classified information with Congress. A senior White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated that the U.S. government believes that an early assessment report by the Defense Intelligence Agency regarding an attack on Iran was leaked after being posted to CAPNET (a system used for sharing classified intelligence with Congress) on the evening of the 23rd. As CNN and The New York Times reported the assessment's contents on the afternoon of the 24th, the White House will therefore reduce the shared content in that system. The FBI is investigating this leak incident.
