#BinanceTGEXNY The giant Bitcoin buyer, Strategy, acquired a new batch of cryptocurrencies last week, as announced this Monday. The purchase was made despite widespread pessimism among investors of the largest virtual currency. In fact, as the week was coming to an end, the price of BTC continued to fall sharply.
In a press release, the company led by Bitcoin evangelist, Michael Saylor, provided details of the acquisition. In this sense, with an investment of 26 million dollars, they added 245 new BTC to their corporate treasury. This is a modest purchase compared to previous transactions.
Moreover, this acquisition was notably lower than that of Metaplanet, which recently injected about 117 million dollars into its latest purchase. In any case, Strategy acquired these new coins at an average price of $105,856 per BTC. Additionally, the report indicates that the accumulated return on the company's investments so far this year (YTD) stands at +19.2%.
