If you are still learning ICT (Institutional Strategies in Trading), it's very important to understand the fundamentals, not just memorize terms. The focus in ICT is not on traditional signals, but on understanding market intent: where is the liquidity? where is the weakness? where is the market maker going?
Start by learning the concept of Liquidity Pools, and understand that the market always targets stop loss areas – it's not random, it's a plan.
Fair Value Gaps (FVG) are not just empty areas on the chart, they are places where the market corrects from or continues.
Do not enter a trade without confirmation from the Market Structure – you must understand the market direction, breaking highs or lows, and whether there is a real change or not.
And the most important point? You don't have to enter a trade every day. ICT teaches you to wait for the right movement and understand why the price is moving, not just where.
Learning doesn't come in a week, but with patience and practice, you will understand the market with a completely different perspective.
