MMO shooter BloodLoop will launch on the Epic Games Store on June 23.
Swiss game studio Ragnarok Games will launch BloodLoop, a free dystopian hero shooter with NFT-driven items, in early access on the Epic Games Store on June 23.
The game is set in the year 2191, where three factions battle in a virtual arena, utilizing gravity manipulation abilities and skill-based tactics. Players can participate in team deathmatches, energy battles, or free-for-all modes, earning and trading on-chain equipment during combat.
With $4 million in funding and early wish list momentum, the team behind BloodLoop stated that its primary goal is to create an engaging game that can maintain player interest, with blockchain components currently remaining optional.

FC Barcelona launches Barça.Pass, providing digital collectibles and virtual avatars for fans worldwide.
On June 19, FC Barcelona launched Barça.Pass for the first time, a web3 wallet created in collaboration with immersive tech company Futureverse, designed to bring the club's global fanbase into the virtual fan circle.
According to a press release shared with OpenSea, more than 11 million fans with Barca IDs can currently use the pass, which allows users to create official avatars dressed in Barca's official gear and collect digital items stored on The Root Network, a blockchain designed for interoperability and open metaverse activation.
Fans can use their collectibles across the club's carefully selected web3 applications, games, and metaverse worlds, while retaining full ownership and the ability to bring items into other compatible platforms.

DogeOS and PlaysOut bring Dogecoin games to mobile.
Mini-game publisher PlaysOut and the application layer DogeOS will launch about 15 Dogecoin-themed casual games by the end of 2025, reportedly using DOGE tokens to reward players and utilizing Doginals (a native NFT format of Dogecoin, named similarly to Bitcoin's Ordinals) to represent in-game items such as skins.
Players can access the game through MyDoge crypto wallet and PlaysOut mobile app.
The first piece is expected to launch in August.

Rekt Drinks arrives at 7-Eleven convenience stores.
Crypto-native flavored water brand Rekt Drinks will officially launch at 7-Eleven convenience stores in Southern California next week, marking its entry into the mainstream market.
The product is well-received by web3 enthusiasts and event participants, and will soon be available at the largest convenience store chain in the world.
This move indicates a growing demand in retail for culture-driven, community-building products, many of which began selling online.
For collectors and fans, this collaboration is another sign of blockchain brands seeking to enter the physical retail world.

Pudgy Penguins collaborates with My Neighbor Alice.
The popular Arctic-themed NFT series Pudgy Penguins is collaborating with the multiplayer blockchain game My Neighbor Alice to launch Pudgy Land, a new snow island area in the Snowflake Wilds update released on June 17.
Holders of Pudgy Penguins NFTs (including Lil Pudgys and Pudgy Rods) can unlock custom game features such as missions, equipment skins, and companions hatched from digital eggs.
This collaboration offers collectors a new way to use digital items in virtual games, while the brand is making its foray into mainstream publishing with its first children's book (The Worst Birthday Gift Ever), which is now available for pre-order at Target, Walmart, and other major retailers.

Meebits and mmERCH hold a product launch event in New York.
The NFT fashion brand mmERCH will hold an offline launch event in New York on June 25, showcasing the latest hoodie co-created with Meebits, which are 3D voxel-style virtual characters created by Larva Labs and acquired by BAYC owner Yuga Labs in 2022.
The gathering also celebrates the growing sense of community among Meebit holders, with many expected to wear Meebit-themed gear to the event.
Coincidentally, the timing of this event coincides with long-time collector Adam Weitsman's purchase of Meebit #8369, one of only five rare 'anatomical' avatars, which he added to his collection on his birthday.
The Meebits collaboration and launch event follows the announcement of the closed beta for mmERCH wearable NFC chips earlier this month.

Genesis Pinnacle launches the 'Genesis Keys' event, introducing 1/1 digital keys to unlock.
Dapper Labs' Disney Pinnacle has launched the Genesis Keys event, the platform's first major event, giving collectors a chance to unlock rare Disney-themed digital badges.
Starting June 12, users can claim a free 'Genesis Keys' once every four hours through the in-app 'Loop Store', with additional Keys distributed via milestone rewards and promo codes.
According to a press release shared with OpenSea, Genesis Capsules containing ultra-rare badges will gradually be released as holders reach milestones of 100,000, 200,000, and 300,000 badges.
A total of three Genesis Capsules will be released, each containing a unique digital badge featuring Simba and Rafiki from The Lion King, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl from The Incredibles, and Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul from the Star Wars universe.
