Analyzed the intraday trading times of the past two months, organized for everyone's reference.
Mainly because it has been too tiring to watch the market recently, finding high-efficiency time points is really necessary.
1. Tokyo 08:00 – 11:00 | Asian session
🎯 Function: Preheat, range, wash liquidity
⚡️ Characteristics: Small fluctuations, often stop at the high and low points of the range
📌 Key points to respond:
Look more at the structure, chase fewer trades
If you see a narrow range/wedge, mark the upper and lower edges, prepare for London to confirm the breakout
If RSI/KDJ divergence occurs and is close to the London opening, you can use a small position to create a 'pre-hotspot', aiming only to see London, not to hold long intervals
Especially calm = strong signal: Capital is on the sidelines, waiting for London to take action
2. London 15:00 – 18:00 | European session
🎯 Function: Main trend starts / High occurrence of false breakouts
⚡️ Characteristics: Increased volatility, false breakout – stop orders – true direction reversal is the core play
📌 Key points to respond:
Wait for confirmation first: Break the range? False break? Pullback?
Don’t chase as soon as you see a breakout, first check if there is a pullback to confirm the structure
If the Tokyo range is 'quickly broken and quickly returned', it is usually a false move, the direction will mostly reverse, a key signal!
If trading volume/OBV/RSI momentum synchronously increases, the possibility of a true trend starting is high
3. New York 20:00 – 23:00 | American session
🎯 Function: Follow London’s trend / Harvest trades / Create late-session false moves
⚡️ Characteristics: Early stage continues the trend, later stage (after 22:30) is likely to reverse
Key points to respond:
If London is in a true trend, the early part of the US session is mostly a trend-following push of 1-2 waves
If London experiences a false breakout, the US session often reverses to the true direction
RSI divergence + structure damage = exit signal, don’t cling to the battle
Volume clearly declines after 23:00, efficiency is low, do not chase trades, only trend-following orders
Supplement | North American late session (Beijing 2:00–05:00)
Strictly speaking, this period overlaps with the NY late session + delivery session + early Asian session
Low liquidity, most easily leads to passive stop orders, market maker hedging, liquidation crashes
⚠️ Inefficient and high risk: Unless you are focused on executing false breakout stop orders, otherwise it is not recommended to trade
If there is no special plan, it's better to sleep/rest!
🧱 In one sentence:
Tokyo frames, London breaks the situation, New York takes over, rest late at night.
