Swing Trading is a trading method aimed at capturing the "swings" in the price trend of an asset (stocks, forex, commodities, cryptocurrencies, etc.).

The goal is to buy at a low price in an uptrend (or short sell at a high price in a downtrend) and sell (or buy back) when the price reaches a peak or temporary bottom.

The holding period for positions usually ranges from 1 to 5 days, sometimes extending to several weeks, as opposed to day trading or long-term investing.
