Approved on June 17, 2025, with bipartisan support by a vote of 68 to 30, the bill establishes the first federal regulatory framework tailored to stablecoins.
On the same day, Circle shares, trading under the ticker CRCL, jumped from $145 to $199.59, recorded just minutes before the opening of Wall Street on Thursday, June 19. From June 17 onward, CRCL has increased in value by 37.65%.
It is also the second largest stablecoin issuer after Tether. Currently, the market capitalization of USDC is $61.19 billion, and its supply has increased by 1.96%, or 1.176 billion USDC, over the last 30 days.
