Launched in 2018, WalletConnect has made its mark with 275 million connections, serving 45 million users worldwide. Each month, the network processes 20 million connections for 5 million users, linking 61,000 applications with 600 wallets across all blockchains.
The project is present on major platforms such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Binance, Polymarket, Jupiter, becoming the gold standard for Web3 connectivity.
WCT has four functions:
- Service fee: Payment based on MAU model
- Rewards: 17.5% of total supply incentivizes performance
- Staking: Receive rewards from the common fund
- Governance: The community votes on fees and rewards
