The decentralized cloud service Iagon based on #Cardano announced that the legendary automaker #Ford will act as a consultant for a project aimed at addressing document processing issues.
Large corporations like Ford produce vast amounts of sensitive legal data, which include sworn testimonies, court transcripts, and so on. However, such data is typically scattered across various systems and teams. Due to ineffective management, utilizing this data is challenging. Moreover, they may be vulnerable to potential security breaches.
In collaboration with the software development company CloudCourt, Iagon is developing a proof of concept (POC) that could address the aforementioned issues by allowing companies to manage data in a secure and efficient manner.
The Cardano-based project will combine the decentralized cloud storage of Iagon and the AI-based legal tools of CloudCourt for processing and analyzing transcripts.
Ford will provide some recommendations based on its experience as a Fortune 500 company with a large legal department. The automaker will assess the effectiveness and feasibility of data storage on the Cardano platform and maintaining audit logs. The blockchain-based project will be compared to traditional solutions.
Iagon emphasized that Ford's involvement in the project shows that blockchain is now gaining popularity not only in the financial sector.
This is not Ford's first experience in the blockchain space. In 2019, the renowned automaker also collaborated with IMB, LG Chem, and several other companies to utilize this technology to ensure ethical cobalt mining practices. The company also became a founding member of the blockchain initiative MOBI, which was established jointly with BMW, Renault, and General Motors in 2018.
In September 2022, the company registered numerous trademarks related to the metaverse.
