#GENIUS稳定币法案 GENIUS Stablecoin Act: Opening a New Chapter for Digital Finance in the United States

On February 4, 2025, the U.S. Senate introduced the "Guiding and Establishing the American Stablecoin Innovation Act" (GENIUS Act), aimed at establishing the first comprehensive federal regulatory framework for stablecoins. The bill was proposed by Senator Bill Hagerty and others, receiving bipartisan support, emphasizing consumer protection, anti-money laundering compliance, and market stability. The bill requires issuers to hold equivalent reserve assets to ensure transparency and solvency, and prohibits members of Congress and senior officials from issuing stablecoins during their terms. If the GENIUS Act is passed, it will promote the United States' leading position in global digital finance, drive the widespread use of the dollar stablecoin, and mitigate financial risks.
