Ownership of branding plays a lot more into decentralization/autonomy than people like to admit.
Imo, if a company owns the trademark and doesn't have a credibly neutral rule about how it gets used, the project is not truly decentralized/autonomous
One reason why I say Ethereum was 'centralized' during the DAO fork is because of the way ETH trademark played into it.
But I think now with brands like "MegaETH" and "ETHDenver" that presumably have no licensing agreements etc., Ethereum Foundation probably lost its trademark rights over ETH/Ethereum. . .
