A father used to tell his little children, "When you turn twelve years old, I will tell you a secret about life." And then one day his eldest son turned twelve. He said to his father, "Today I am twelve years old, please tell me that secret." The father replied, "Today I am going to tell you something that you must not share with any of your younger siblings." The secret is that... "Cows do not give milk." The son, surprised, asked, "What are you saying... cows do not give milk!?" The father responded, "Son, cows do not give milk; you have to extract the milk from the cow, you have to wake up early in the morning, tie the cow's tail, place a bucket under the cow, and then sit on a stool to milk the cow... cows do not give milk by themselves. Our new generation thinks... cows give milk. This thought has become so automatic that everything seems very easy, as if whatever you want is immediately available. But life is not just about thinking and getting things immediately. Happiness... is the result of consistent efforts. If efforts are not made, it leads to increased mental stress or frustration.
