#美联储FOMC会议

1. What is FOMC?

The 'decision-making group' of the Federal Reserve, which meets every 6-8 weeks to determine U.S. interest rate policies (whether to raise, lower, or maintain rates) and the pace of money printing/withdrawal (such as tapering).

2. Main decision contents

Interest rate decision: Directly determines the costs of loans, deposits, mortgages, etc. For example, raising rates to over 4.5% in 2023, pausing rate hikes in 2024, and discussing rate cuts in 2025.

Tapering (QT): Reducing the Federal Reserve's holdings of Treasury bonds and other assets, equivalent to withdrawing funds from the market (such as slowing the pace of tapering in 2024).
