🗣Reuters: 17-year-old teenager from Canada, Leiken Peiven, became part of a spy story — in 2023, he traveled to Donbass, but soon found himself in the hands of the FSB, where he was made an agent.

Peiven was tasked with going to Europe, and money for expenses began to be sent in BTC — first $130,000, then more. In total, he received over $500,000, which he was supposed to cash out in Poland. But already in Warsaw, frightened, he turned himself in to the police and confessed to connections with Russian intelligence. Later, the court sentenced him to 20 months in prison.

Experts found that his payments came from cryptocurrency wallets linked to the FSB. One of them conducted transactions totaling over $600 million. According to analysts, Moscow is increasingly using cryptocurrency to finance agents and evade sanctions.#BTC #ETH #xpr
