Investing in cryptocurrency or trading cards?
In the past two months, the continuous rise in the price of Yamaar cards shows no signs of stopping. Despite Spain's unfortunate loss to Portugal in the recent UEFA Nations League final, which prevented them from winning the championship, a recent auction by Goldin saw a Yamaar Spanish rookie card, the 1/1 Gold, sell for an impressive $396,500, equivalent to about 2.85 million RMB. This price not only breaks the previous record for this card, which was $136,600 (approximately one million RMB) two months ago (recap: Yamaar card prices reach new heights), but also sets a new personal record for Yamaar's card prices.
The same card, with a 2.9 times premium two months later, may not seem high compared to other smaller cards of Yamaar that have seen premiums of 5 to 10 times, but making a net profit of $259,900 (about 1.85 million RMB) on a single card in such a short time is indeed a significant return on investment, especially in the current globally sluggish economic environment.
In addition to this 2024 Topps Chrome UEFA Euro 1/1 Gold rookie card, there are also several other 1/1 Gold rookie autographs from reputable series like Merlin and Arena being auctioned on Goldin, with about ten days left until the end. It will be interesting to see at what prices these high-value cards will sell.
Isn't this more comfortable than trading cryptocurrency?
