A report from Chainalysis and AUSTRAC revealed that cryptocurrency remittances in Latin America grew by 40% in the last year. Argentina leads as the main recipient, with 91 million dollars in 2024, followed by Mexico with 12 million. The surge is due to interest in faster and cheaper financial solutions, especially through stablecoins. Furthermore, the region climbed to 14th place in the number of crypto ATMs globally, with Mexico and Brazil adding 90 and 70 ATMs, respectively. El Salvador stands out for offering the lowest fees.
