$BTC US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he will send letters to major economies outlining planned trade tariffs in the coming weeks, ahead of the July 9 deadline for trade agreements with his administration.

"At some point, we'll send letters saying, 'This is the deal,' you can take it or leave it," Trump told reporters at the Kennedy Center.

"We'll send letters in a week and a half to two weeks telling them what the deal is."

Trump said talks are underway with Japan, South Korea, and about 15 countries.
