Speaking to reporters, Trump revealed that the U.S. is still negotiating with about 15 economies, including South Korea, Japan, and the EU. The U.S. will send letters to dozens of countries, outlining the terms of trade agreements they may accept or reject.
The 90-day delay on Trump's retaliatory tariffs will end on July 8. Currently, the U.S. has only reached an agreement with the UK - a country with which the U.S. already has a trade surplus. Other negotiations have stalled as countries seek to bargain for better terms.
When asked about the possibility of extending the negotiation period, Trump said he may "consider it" but emphasized that he does not see it as necessary.
