The battle of the wealthy in America, and Musk apologizes to Trump
Journey: Elon Musk, who was an advisor to Donald Trump, expressed regret today for some recent criticisms he directed at the American president amidst their public spat last week.
Musk wrote on the 'X' platform, 'I regret some of my posts regarding President Donald Trump last week. I crossed the line.'
This came days after Trump threatened the billionaire tech mogul with 'severe consequences' if he sought to support challenges against Republican legislators who would vote in favor of passing the controversial budget bill in Congress.
Musk's sharp criticisms of Trump's "big and beautiful" budget bill currently before Congress sparked public disagreement between the richest man in the world and the president of the most powerful country in the world last week.
Opposition lawmakers to the budget bill urged Musk, one of the biggest funders of the Republican presidential campaign last year, to fund challenges against Republicans who vote in favor of the controversial budget bill.
Trump told NBC News on Saturday, 'There will be severe consequences if he does that,' without specifying what those consequences were, while describing Musk as 'abusive.'
The American newspaper 'The Washington Post' revealed on Sunday the behind-the-scenes of what happened in the White House, with disagreements and altercations that escalated to physical confrontations between Musk and the U.S. Treasury Secretary.
