Temu and Shein lose market share in the USA due to Trump's tariffs
Chinese platforms Temu and Shein are shifting their focus to the European market due to the customs policy of Donald Trump, which affects marketplaces in the USA. However, despite increased advertising expenses and rising sales, they may face difficulties due to European regulatory requirements.
In the European Union, complaints have been filed against both Temu and Shein in recent weeks, accusing them of unfavorable business practices. Additionally, European regulators are preparing a new fixed fee of two euros on previously duty-free small parcels, like those sent by the aforementioned marketplaces.
