#USChinaTradeTalks The trade talks between the U.S. and China continue in London, aiming to reduce tensions in key areas such as rare minerals and advanced technology.

In May, both nations agreed to a temporary truce in Geneva, reducing tariffs: the U.S. lowered taxes on Chinese products from 145% to 30%, while China reduced its tariffs from 125% to 10%. However, since then, mutual accusations of non-compliance with the agreement have arisen.

The U.S. team is led by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. On the Chinese side, Vice Premier He Lifeng heads the delegation.

One of the key points is access to rare minerals, essential for the technology and automotive industries. China controls a large part of global production and has limited exports, raising concerns in the U.S.
