#TrumpVsMusk The relationship between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, which once seemed like a strategic alliance, has recently imploded into a series of accusations and public threats. The tension escalated following Musk's exit from his role as special government employee, where he led the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE).
Musk initiated a wave of criticism on X (formerly Twitter) against the "great and beautiful spending bill" from President Trump, calling it an "ugly abomination" and urging people to "kill it." In response, Trump lashed out at Musk on Truth Social, suggesting the tycoon "went crazy" and threatening to rescind the government contracts of his companies, like SpaceX and Tesla, which represent billions of dollars.
The dispute intensified when Musk, without presenting evidence, claimed that Trump was mentioned in Jeffrey Epstein's files, alleging that this was the real reason they had not been made public. This post was later deleted from X. Despite attempts by some figures, such as Vice President JD Vance, to downplay the dispute, the animosity is palpable. Trump has expressed no plans to reconcile with Musk, and although both have toned down the intensity of their public attacks, the rift is evident. Tesla's stock was also affected by this confrontation.
