Binance is introducing a new Binance Alpha points consumption mechanism.
Overall update
1. What updates are there for Binance Alpha points?
A new Binance Alpha points consumption mechanism has been introduced, where users will consume points upon confirming participation in exclusive TGE or receiving Alpha airdrops.
2. How can users participate?
Option 1: Search for 'Alpha event' on the homepage to view the latest activities.
Option 2: Open the latest version of the Binance APP. On the homepage, click the user account icon in the upper left corner. After entering the page, click [More], then search for [Alpha event].
** You can save the 'Alpha event' to the homepage by clicking [More] - [Edit] button in the shortcut entry, then find 'Alpha event' and click the [+] button.
To participate in the Binance Alpha airdrop or exclusive TGE, users need to confirm their participation on the event page and consume their Binance Alpha points.
3. When does this new mechanism take effect?
The Binance Alpha points consumption mechanism was officially introduced on May 13, 2025.
Time and snapshot rules
4. Why is my order not included in the Binance Alpha points calculation for a specific date?
Binance Alpha points will be calculated based on the account snapshot taken at 07:59:59 daily (UTC+8).
For example, if you complete a transaction on April 23 at 02:00 (UTC+8), that transaction will count towards the points calculation cycle for April 22, as it occurred before April 23 at 07:59:59 (UTC+8).
Points expiration, usage, and balance
5. Do Binance Alpha points automatically expire?
Yes. Binance Alpha points operate on a rolling 15-day cycle. Each Binance Alpha point will automatically expire 15 days after the snapshot date.
6. When are points consumed?
When you confirm participation in the Alpha event (such as Alpha airdrop or TGE), Binance Alpha points will be consumed immediately.
Consumed points will count towards the total score statistics for the next day.
7. Can I choose whether to consume points during an airdrop?
Yes. Participation in any event is optional. You can choose whether to consume your Binance Alpha points.
8. What happens after the Alpha token is listed for spot trading?
If the Alpha token is listed for spot trading, transactions after listing will not count towards Alpha trading volume.
9. Does the type of wallet affect Alpha trading volume tracking?
Yes. Only transactions conducted via Binance Wallet (non-custodial) and Binance centralized exchange qualify. If a wallet is imported or exported, its trading volume will not count towards Alpha trading volume. A re-imported wallet is no longer considered non-custodial.
10. How is my daily Binance Alpha points balance calculated?
Your daily Binance Alpha points balance is calculated using a rolling 15-day window. This means your balance consists of all points earned and consumed over the past 15 days. Here are the specific operations:
Example breakdown:
April 28 - May 12:
On May 13, the 15-day rolling points calculation window covers April 28 to May 12.
Days 1 to 15: You earned 10 points daily from Day 1 to Day 10, and earned no points from Day 11 to Day 15, totaling 100 points.
Today (May 13): You used 5 points, but since the consumed points will count towards the total score for the next day, the balance for the day remains 100 points.
April 29 - May 13:
On May 14, due to the rolling window moving forward, the points earned on April 28 will expire. The current 15-day window is from April 29 to May 13.
Days 1 to 15 (April 29 - May 13): You still have 90 points.
Today (May 14): The 5 points used the previous day (May 13) are now effective, reducing the balance to 85 points.
April 30 - May 14:
On May 15, due to the rolling window continuing to move forward, the points earned on April 29 will expire. The current 15-day window is from April 30 to May 14.
Days 1 to 15 (April 30 - May 14): You still have 75 points.
Today (May 15): The current points balance is 75 points.
Others
1. What are Binance Alpha points?
Binance Alpha points are a points system used to assess user activity within the Binance Alpha and Binance wallet ecosystem, determining eligibility for participation in Token Generation Events (TGE) and Alpha token airdrops, among others.
2. What are Binance Alpha tokens?
Binance Alpha tokens refer to the tokens displayed in the Binance Alpha section on the Binance trading platform and Binance wallet. Binance Alpha was officially announced on December 17, 2024, and aims to discover early projects with growth potential in the Web3 ecosystem. Some tokens on Binance Alpha may have the opportunity to be listed on the Binance spot market in the future, but this is not guaranteed.
3. How are Binance Alpha points calculated?
Binance Alpha points are accumulated daily based on the following two data points:
Balance points:
Your total assets on the Binance Exchange (including all accounts and Binance Alpha accounts) and Binance wallet, calculated only for tokens that are listed on the Binance spot market and supported in Alpha trading. Tokens not supported in Binance spot or Alpha trading (such as LSD tokens) do not count towards valid assets.
Trading volume points:
The total trading volume of Alpha* tokens purchased through the Binance Exchange and Binance Non-Custodial Wallet. Only transactions using Binance Alpha tokens or tokens that are already listed on the Binance spot market count towards trading volume points. Transactions paid with other currencies do not count towards points.
Selling Alpha tokens will not affect your points.
Your total Binance Alpha points = the sum of daily points (including balance points and trading volume points) over the past 15 days.
4. How are balance points calculated?
Balance points are calculated using tiered rules, with specific levels as follows:
$100 to $1,000 = 1 point/day
$1,000 to $10,000 = 2 points/day
$10,000 to $100,000 = 3 points/day
$100,000 and above = 4 points/day
Snapshot timezone: UTC+8 at 08:00
5. How is trading volume points calculated?
Your trading volume points are calculated as follows:
$2 → 1 point
$4 → 2 points
$8 → 3 points
$16 → 4 points
$32 → 5 points
Note: Each time your purchase amount doubles, you will receive an additional point. For example, $64 = 6 points, $128 = 7 points, and so on.
6. Can I spread $100,000 across multiple sub-accounts to earn more points through each account?
Only the main account is eligible to earn Binance Alpha points. The balances of sub-accounts will be merged into the main account's points, and you cannot obtain more points by spreading balances across different accounts.
7. How is my balance and/or trading value calculated in terms of exchange rate?
The value of Alpha tokens is calculated based on the USD equivalent market price at the time of trading, aimed at ensuring fairness and consistency in points tracking.
8. If I buy tokens worth $600 and then sell them for $500, will my trading volume points be calculated based on $600?
Yes. The token purchase mechanism tracks your purchase amount, not your current holdings. Therefore, even if you later sell some tokens, you will still earn the corresponding Binance Alpha points based on the $600 purchase amount.
