#TradingTypes101 🤷‍♂️SEC questions the legitimacy of crypto-ETFs with staking

▪️The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has questioned the launch of ETFs on Ethereum and Solana from REX Financial and Osprey Funds.

▪️These funds offer income from staking, but the regulator believes they may not meet the requirements for ETFs under U.S. federal law. Therefore, the launch has been temporarily postponed.

▪️SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw referred to this case as an example of the regulator's ambiguous approach to the crypto market. According to her, crypto assets are "sometimes recognized as securities, sometimes not — depending on convenience"🤔
