#TrumpVsMusk

The clash between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has reached unprecedented levels, turning into a full-blown public war involving politics, economics, and personal accusations.

The breaking point was the tax and spending bill proposed by Trump, known as the 'One Big Beautiful Bill Act.' Musk harshly criticized the legislation, calling it a 'disgusting abomination' and arguing that it would increase the public deficit by $2.5 trillion, in addition to eliminating tax credits for electric vehicles, directly harming Tesla.

Trump responded by expressing 'deep disappointment' towards Musk and threatening to revoke government contracts with his companies, including SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink.

The situation further escalated when Musk accused Trump of being involved in the 'Epstein files,' insinuating that his name appeared in documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. Additionally, Musk launched a poll on X asking if it was time to create a new political party, receiving wide support.

The tensions have had repercussions on the financial markets: Tesla's stock plunged by over 14%, wiping out about $152 billion in market value.

Until recently, Musk was a great ally of Trump, having donated over $250 million to his 2024 campaign and leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a temporary agency created to reduce government waste.

Now, their relationship seems definitively compromised, with Musk accusing Trump of ingratitude and Trump calling him 'out of control.'
