#CircleIPO O Circle Internet Group, issuer of one of the largest stablecoins in the world, priced its initial public offering at US$ 31 per share on Wednesday night. This value is above the expected range of US$ 27 to US$ 28 and gives the company a total market value of US$ 6.8 billion.

Circle, based in New York, its founder, and some original shareholders will raise US$ 1.05 billion in the offering of 34 million shares. In a sign of the huge demand for the cryptocurrency company, Circle increased the number of shares sold in the IPO from 32 million after the market closed on Wednesday. Originally, Circle was looking to raise only US$ 624 million by selling 24 million shares, in a range of US$ 24 to US$ 26 per share.

Circle granted its underwriters, led by JPMorgan, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs, a 30-day option to sell an additional 5.1 million shares. Circle's shares will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "CRCL".
