🔥 Tether and Bitfinex transfer 2.7 billion USD in Bitcoin, backing Twenty One Capital
Two giants in the crypto industry – Tether and Bitfinex – have just transferred a total of 25,812 BTC (worth approximately 2.7 billion USD) to support the investment fund Twenty One Capital.
Tether transferred 18,812 BTC (equivalent to 2 billion USD).
Bitfinex contributed an additional 7,000 BTC (about 731 million USD).
This capital is used as a treasury for Twenty One Capital – a new fund led by CEO Jack Mallers, focusing on initiatives surrounding the Bitcoin ecosystem.
This is one of the largest backing moves to date, demonstrating the ambition to further strengthen Bitcoin’s role in global finance.
