Panama Considers Establishing Strategic Bitcoin Reserves and Accepting Bitcoin as a Payment Method

Mayer Mizrachi, mayor of Panama City, said at the #Bitcoin2025 conference that he is exploring the feasibility of using #Bitcoin for public payment scenarios, including establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve and considering allowing ships passing through the Panama Canal to pay tolls in Bitcoin and enjoy priority passage.
