I read posts here and see that most people do not understand the essence of trading at all. Let me explain with an example.
Imagine that you work as a waiter in a restaurant and all day you serve delicious food. But you don't eat any yourself. You are not allowed to. Absolutely nothing. Those are the rules. Then you come home, drink a glass of water, eat a small crust of bread, and go to sleep – hungry, exhausted, and resentful of yourself and the whole world. And the next day, everything repeats itself.
This is roughly the state a beginner trader is in when trying to maintain discipline in trading – a daily struggle against oneself. This self-torture can last for years until your inner monkey finally dies. And only after that will you start trading profitably on a consistent basis.
The stupidest thing you can do in this profession is to rely on quick success.
