I started trading in cryptocurrency in the spring of 2022. But I could only achieve positive statistics in 2024. That is, for 2 years I was just giving money to the market. And all because, like most beginners, I could not realize and accept 3 fundamental facts:

Trap 1. I was sure that I could learn to trade by myself. I reasoned something like this: why should I buy courses when there are plenty of free materials online, including leaked courses? I didn't have the sense to understand that the value of any course lies in the feedback from an experienced mentor (trader). Without feedback, any course is just a useless set of numbers and letters. My overconfidence was also fueled by a series of profitable trades: 'Well, that's already 5 profitable trades in a row, so I can do it! I just need to polish the trading system a bit more and that's it.' Predictably, after that came the losses and the loss of yet another deposit.

Trap 2. I couldn’t accept the fact that trading is a marathon, not a sprint, and that expecting quick money here is extremely foolish. My brain categorically did not want to give up the idea of getting rich quickly. This foolish idea was fueled by endless stories of how some guys easily turn $100 into $1,000, or even from $10 to $10,000 in just a month. 'If they can do it, then I can too,' my naive mind reasoned back then. Now I understand that such 'turning' is not trading but pure gambling, which inevitably leaves everyone in debt and sends them to work in a cold warehouse at 'Magnit.'

Trap 3. I tried to trade everything: knives, sharpeners, breakouts, bounces, spills, algorithms, volatility collection – in short, the entire set of scalping strategies. I thought that was the fastest way to get started. In reality, it turned out to be exactly the opposite – I started making money when I kept only one strategy (breakout levels) in my arsenal and began to perfect it. There’s a famous quote by Bruce Lee: 'I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.' This principle works 100% in trading. If you look at the path of the top traders, it turns out that almost all experienced traders became one-strategy traders. That is, they trade only one strategy that they have polished to perfection.

These are the thoughts I wanted to share on this matter. If you have questions about scalping, I would be happy to answer in the comments. And maximum respect for subscribing and liking!)
