Sam Bankman-Fried may be released from prison more than 4 years early: The collapse of the FTX empire, prison sentence also "lightened"?
According to information from Business Insider, Sam Bankman-Fried (#SBF ) – former CEO of the exchange #FTX that went bankrupt – may be eligible for early release on December 14, 2044, which shortens his original 25-year sentence by more than 4 years. The reason comes from good behavior while serving his time and participation in rehabilitation programs.
According to the regulations of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), inmates can have their sentences reduced by 54 days each year if they meet good behavior criteria. Currently, SBF is being held at FCI-Terminal Island, a low-security federal prison in California.
