i love ethereum nfts

i own some

ethereum made nfts popular. ethereum nfts are the most liquid and the trading experience is good

it has the most vibrant and dynamic nft communities

but ethereum itself is past its peak. i talk to big investors every day (it’s my job) and they all tell me the same thing if ethereum happens to get brought up. they don’t want it. they want bitcoin. it’s just a fact

hundreds on millions of people will get exposure to bitcoin for the first time in the coming year or two. some of them will just adjust their portfolio and move on to think about other things. but some of them, as we all are here, will become obsessed with it

those who are obsessed will want to become a part of bitcoin culture. they’ll want to be a part of bitcoin onchain culture too.

in a world where bitcoin is going up forever (we live in that world), digital artists will want their art on the chain that counts. it’s not hard to understand. you put your digital art on bitcoin and you literally KNOW that it’ll be there for ever, for your great grandchildren to look at

ethereum on the other hand has a rocky path in front of it. even the biggest ethereum bulls will readily admit that if ethereum is to survive, it will have to change dramatically.

maybe the VM gets replaced. maybe the chain is replaced with zk proofs. ETH the asset itself might have to undergo serious changes. wallets will have to adapt. we might have to have everyone migrate to “smart wallets”, retiring their old addresses and their cultural legacy. and so on and so forth

but bitcoin just is. and there’s simply no better place to store digital art. not any worthless doodle, it’s too expensive for that. most art can stay on ethereum.

but the art you really care about, the works that really mean something to you…

those belong on bitcoin. forever.
