Ethiopia is making moves in the Bitcoin mining game, already flexing 600MW of power and set to add more this year.
With about 5,200 MW of hydropower on deck, it’s prime real estate for miners using rigs like Bitmain’s S19J Pro, thanks to those low electricity rates.
This expansion is part of a larger digital infrastructure plan, including a $250 million deal with Hong Kong's West Data Group.
