US Stocks Close: All Three Major Indices Down, US Steel Up Over 21%

On May 24, US stocks closed lower on Friday, with the Dow initially down 0.61%, the S&P 500 down 0.67%, and the Nasdaq down 1%.

Star technology stocks were in the red, with Apple (AAPL.O) down 3.02% and Nvidia (NVDA.O) down 1.16%. Nuclear power concept stocks were strong, with Oklo Inc up 23.1% and NANO Nuclear Energy up 30.07%.

US Steel (X.N) rose 21.61%, with Trump stating that US Steel and Japan's Nippon Steel agreed to establish a "planned partnership", and US Steel will remain in the United States.
