Tokens or Coins? Learn the difference in crypto

In the crypto world, the terms "coin" and "token" are not the same. Here we explain the difference!

Coins

They operate on their own blockchain

Examples: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), BNB

Used as digital money or to pay fees on the network

Tokens

They are created on an existing blockchain (like Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain)

Examples: USDT, UNI, CAKE

They represent assets, rights, or functions within a project

In summary:

Every coin is crypto, but not every token is a coin

Coins have their own network, tokens depend on another
