Today marks the 15th anniversary of Bitcoin Pizza Day - the first commercial transaction using Bitcoin. On May 22, 2010, Florida programmer Laszlo Hanyecz used 10,000 BTC to buy 2 Papa John's pizzas, worth only $40 at the time.
This morning, when Bitcoin just hit ~$111,000, the 10,000 BTC of that time is now worth ~$1.1 billion.
